Crumblelead vs Zoho Recruit: Same Price, Different Desk

By The Crumblelead Team·Published October 15, 2026·Last updated October 15, 2026

We make Crumblelead, so this comparison is written by a vendor. Our sources for other products are listed at the end, with the date we checked them.

Zoho Recruit's Staffing Agency edition starts at $25 per recruiter per month billed annually, the same as Crumblelead's annual price, and both cost $30 on monthly billing. Choose Zoho Recruit if you want deep customisation, 75-plus job boards, EU hosting, native mobile apps and a free Claude and ChatGPT connection, or already run on Zoho. Choose Crumblelead if you want AI on every seat at that price, a simpler perm desk and included support.

Zoho Recruit is the recruiting app of Zoho Corporation, the privately held, bootstrapped software company based in Chennai. It comes in two editions: Staffing Agency, with clients, contacts, submissions and client and vendor portals, and Corporate HR for in-house hiring. Agencies should compare the Staffing Agency edition, which is what this page does.

How do Zoho Recruit's plans compare with Crumblelead's?

At $25 annually or $30 monthly, Zoho Recruit Standard and Crumblelead cost the same per user. What you get differs. Standard includes 100 active jobs, resume parsing up to 250 a day, mass email up to 250 a day, five workflow rules per module, standard reports, job board posting and one free monthly backup. One Capterra reviewer in July 2026 described Standard as having "no AI functionality".

Professional, at $50 annually or $60 monthly, adds semantic search, pre-screening, two-way email sync, custom reports, more automation, a candidate portal and SMS and WhatsApp. Enterprise, at $75 or $90, adds unlimited parsing, Blueprint process enforcement and client and vendor portals. Crumblelead has one plan, so AI matching, semantic search and Crumble AI come at the $25 to $30 price.

For five users over a year, Zoho Standard costs $1,500 annually or $1,800 monthly, the same as Crumblelead. Professional costs $3,000 or $3,600, and Enterprise $4,500 or $5,400. Add-ons such as extra active jobs, webhooks and mass mail are metered on top.

Where is Zoho Recruit the better choice?

Zoho Recruit is the stronger option for agencies that want to configure the system around their process. Its Blueprint process enforcement, custom modules, workflow rules and field-level security go well beyond Crumblelead's settings. Businesses already using Zoho CRM, Books, Mail or Campaigns get native links to them.

It also posts to more than 75 job boards, including region-specific ones such as SEEK, Reed, Totaljobs and PNet, and has native mobile apps. Crumblelead does neither. Zoho lets customers pick a data centre region at sign-up, including the EU, and Zoho Corporation holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications, which Crumblelead does not yet have.

Its Claude and ChatGPT connection is a genuine strength too. Zoho Recruit's official MCP server reads and writes, follows existing roles and permissions, and costs nothing extra. A free plan and a 45-day money-back guarantee lower the risk of trying it.

Where is Crumblelead the better choice?

Crumblelead suits the independent or small perm agency that wants AI and a linked desk without configuring a platform. At the same $25 to $30 per user, every seat gets AI matching with evidence, semantic search, Crumble AI and the Claude and ChatGPT connection. Candidates, clients, contacts, jobs and placements connect in one workspace, with fees and fall-offs tracked against placements.

There are no metered add-ons or paid support tiers, and migration is free on any paid plan. Reviewers of Zoho Recruit mention a learning curve, a cluttered interface and uneven support, with better support costing 20% to 25% extra. If your team wants to be productive in a day rather than a project, that difference matters.

How do the Claude and ChatGPT connections compare?

Both products have official MCP servers that read and write. Zoho Recruit's works with Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, Windsurf and VS Code; Zoho's examples include searching candidates, updating records, generating reports and moving candidate stages. It uses the plan's normal API credits, such as 5,000 plus 250 per user per day on Standard.

Crumblelead's built-in MCP server offers 30-plus tools for Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code and other clients, following each user's role and team. Neither is unique: Recruit CRM, Loxo and Manatal also offer MCP. See which ATS platforms work with Claude and ChatGPT.

What happens to your data when you leave Zoho Recruit?

Users with export permission can export each module, including notes and attachments, up to 20,000 records per request. A full data backup arrives as CSV files in a ZIP with attachments. Standard and Professional include one free backup a month and Enterprise two; extra backups cost $11.50 each, and the Free plan has none. That is one of the more complete self-serve exits available.

Crumblelead migrates from Zoho Recruit free on any paid plan, using an export, typically in about a week with a sandbox dry run. See how to switch ATS without losing data.

Where Crumblelead fits

We built Crumblelead for perm-focused independent and small-to-mid agencies that want one fast workspace for the whole desk, with AI taking administration off recruiters while they keep the relationships and judgement. Zoho Recruit is the better choice when customisation, job boards, EU hosting or the Zoho suite matter most. Compare other options in our Zoho Recruit alternatives guide or browse all comparisons.
