Zoho Recruit Alternatives for Small Recruitment Agencies

By The Crumblelead Team·Published October 15, 2026·Last updated October 15, 2026

Small agencies considering Zoho Recruit alternatives should compare Manatal, Recruit CRM, Recruiterflow, Crelate, Bullhorn and Crumblelead against the Zoho Recruit plan they actually need. Switching makes sense when a replacement gives your team a simpler daily workflow, better included support or AI at your current price; staying is sensible when Zoho's customisation, job boards, EU hosting or wider Zoho suite keep it central to your business.

Zoho Recruit is good value, rated 4.5 out of 5 on Capterra from 1,267 reviews in August 2026 according to a third-party snapshot, so looking elsewhere is rarely about price alone. More often the trigger is how it feels to use: setup effort, a learning curve, or AI and semantic search sitting on higher tiers. Our Crumblelead vs Zoho Recruit comparison covers the head-to-head.

Why do small agencies look at Zoho Recruit alternatives?

Complexity is the most common reason. Reviewers mention a learning curve, setup complexity and navigation that feels cluttered or dated. Zoho's answer is paid onboarding: Jumpstart packages cost $1,000 for 20 hours, $2,000 for 30 and $3,000 for 40. Support quality is described as uneven, and premium support costs 20% of the licence fee, or 25% to 30% for enterprise support.

Tiering is the second. The Standard staffing plan is the same $25 annual price as several alternatives, but one Capterra reviewer in July 2026 said it has "no AI functionality", and semantic search and two-way email sync start at Professional ($50). Many limits are metered, with add-ons such as extra active jobs, webhooks, mass mail and extra backups sold separately. Reviewers also mention slow loading on large candidate lists.

What does Zoho Recruit cost now?

The Staffing Agency edition has a free plan for one active job, then Standard at $25 per recruiter per month annually or $30 monthly, Professional at $50 or $60 and Enterprise at $75 or $90. There are no forced contracts, a 15-day trial of Enterprise features and a 45-day money-back guarantee. In GBP, Standard is £20 annually or £24 monthly.

Manatal if cost is the main issue

Manatal's Professional plan costs $15 per user per month annually or $19 monthly, with AI recommendations and scoring, a sourcing Chrome extension, enrichment and job board posting on every plan, and unlimited free hiring managers. Professional is capped at 15 jobs and 10,000 candidates, so many agencies need Enterprise at $35. MCP, the API and SSO sit on Enterprise Plus at $55. Manatal holds SOC 2 Type II, stores data in the US and offers a progressive web app rather than native apps.

Recruit CRM if you want an agency CRM with strong support

Recruit CRM publishes Pro at $95 per user per month annually or $109 monthly, with timesheets, invoicing, a named account manager and a support score of 5.0 on GetApp. Pro is limited to one pipeline, 15 custom fields and one mailbox, and usage-based features such as multiposting and enrichment draw on credits. MCP and the open API start at Business ($135). Its self-serve full export includes attachments, but data is hosted in the US and kept only 14 days after termination. See our Recruit CRM pricing guide.

Recruiterflow if outbound outreach drives your business

Recruiterflow's Platform plan costs $119 per user per month annually or $149 monthly and includes multichannel sequences across email, LinkedIn and SMS, recruitment and sales automation, a bulk sourcing Chrome extension and API access, with no add-ons. Its AI tier, AIRA, is priced on request; Recruiterflow's blog puts it at $150 to $300. Its official MCP connector for Claude and ChatGPT is read-only, and mobile access is a progressive web app.

Crelate if you need client portals and audited security

Crelate Business costs $119 per user per month on annual or monthly billing and includes the AI Assistant, client and team portals, job posting and reports; Essentials, at $85 annually, is capped at two users. Crelate holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001:2022, and its self-serve database export includes attachments. Sequences, the full API and MCP need custom-priced Business Plus or Platform, and data is transferred to the US.

Bullhorn if you are scaling a staffing business

Bullhorn publishes Starter at $99 and Core at $165 per user per month, with free implementation on its small-agency plans, a 300-plus partner marketplace from Core and SOC 2 Type 2 audits. It covers temp and contract back-office needs, and its AI search and Amplify agents start at Pro, by quote. See our Bullhorn pricing guide.

Crumblelead if your agency mainly runs perm desks

Our plan costs $30 per user per month, or $25 billed annually, with no seat minimum, no add-ons and cancellation without a fee. AI matching with evidence, semantic search, Crumble AI and a built-in MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT that can make supported changes are on every seat from one user. Migration from Zoho Recruit is free on any paid plan and typically takes about a week.

We are not the right alternative if you post to job boards from your ATS, need native mobile apps, client or vendor portals, or a SOC 2 report today. Zoho Recruit offers those.

When staying with Zoho Recruit is the right call

Stay when your team has configured Zoho Recruit around its process and uses Blueprint, custom modules and workflow rules, or when you already rely on Zoho CRM, Books or Mail. Its 75-plus job boards, native mobile apps, EU data centres, and free read and write MCP server are real strengths. If the issue is support, a premium support plan may be cheaper than a migration.

How do you leave Zoho Recruit cleanly?

Zoho Recruit makes leaving straightforward. Users with export permission can export each module, with notes and attachments, up to 20,000 records per request. A full backup arrives as CSV files in a ZIP with attachments; Standard and Professional include one free backup a month and Enterprise two, with extras at $11.50 each. Take the backup before you cancel, since the Free plan has no backups. Read how to switch ATS without losing data.
