How to Export Your Data From JobAdder

To get a full copy of your data out of JobAdder, ask JobAdder support for a backup before your account ends; it is not a self-serve download. JobAdder deletes account data 90 days after termination and deletes each backup two weeks after generating it, so request it early and check it straight away.

JobAdder publishes less about exporting than some vendors, so this guide is shorter. It sets out what JobAdder's FAQ says, what other sources report, and what is not publicly documented. It was last updated on 15 October 2026.

What does JobAdder say about exporting your data?

JobAdder's FAQ makes three statements:

"JobAdder will irretrievably delete the data stored in your account 90 days after your account is terminated."
"You can request a backup of the data prior to that deletion occurring."
"Backups are irretrievably deleted two weeks after they're generated."

The full backup is requested through support. According to a competitor's migration guide, it covers candidates, jobs, companies, contacts, applications, resumes and attachments, custom fields and notes. An older Capterra review describes the backup arriving as a large archive by FTP or zip file.

How do I get a JobAdder backup?

Check your contract end date. JobAdder sells annual contracts, and on Pro an annual contract is required, so leaving mid-term may not end billing.
Contact JobAdder support while your account is still live and ask for a full backup.
Confirm what the backup will contain and how it will be delivered.
Download it as soon as it arrives, since backups are deleted after two weeks.
Check a sample of candidates with their CVs, notes and placements before access ends.

Several competitors' guides give the same advice: request the export while the account is live.

Can I export lists from inside JobAdder?

In-app list exports exist, but users report restrictions on downloading CVs in bulk (Reddit, March 2026). Treat list exports as an interim copy, not a full migration export.

What is not publicly documented?

Whether JobAdder charges for a backup. We found no fee, but could not confirm either way.

Contract termination and auto-renewal clauses: JobAdder's terms page did not display its text when checked.
