Crelate Alternatives for Small Recruitment Agencies

By The Crumblelead Team·Published October 15, 2026·Last updated October 15, 2026

Small agencies considering Crelate alternatives should compare Recruit CRM, Recruiterflow, Zoho Recruit, Manatal, Bullhorn and Crumblelead against the Crelate plan they actually need. Switching makes sense when a replacement gives a small team the features it wants without a custom quote; staying is sensible when Crelate's client portals, US compliance reporting and audited security matter to your clients.

Crelate is well regarded, with its own pricing page citing a 4.6 average across review sites, so looking elsewhere is rarely about quality. More often the trigger is plan fit: Essentials' two-user cap, sequences and MCP sitting on custom-priced Business Plus, or a need for EU hosting. Our Crumblelead vs Crelate comparison covers the head-to-head.

Why do small agencies look at Crelate alternatives?

Plan structure is the most common reason. Essentials, at $85 per user per month annually, is capped at two users and 20,000 contacts, so a third hire moves you to Business at $119. Automation and sequences, the full API and the MCP server sit on Business Plus or the Platform options, which are custom-priced. Several extras, including email campaigns, texting, eSignature and enrichment, carry additional fees.

Usability and hosting are the second. Reviewers mention a learning curve, reports that are powerful but hard to set up, an interface some found dated before a 2026 redesign, and uneven support by phone. Crelate transfers data to the US, with no EU hosting option found, and its compliance features are built for US firms.

What does Crelate cost now?

Crelate publishes Essentials at $85 per user per month, paid annually, for up to two users, and Business at $119 on annual or monthly billing. Business Plus and Platform are custom-priced. There is a self-serve free trial. Implementation and professional services are available but not priced publicly, and nonprofits get a discount.

Six alternatives and the trade-offs

Recruit CRM if you want an agency CRM with strong support

Recruit CRM publishes Pro at $95 per user per month annually or $109 monthly, with timesheets, invoicing, a named account manager and a support score of 5.0 on GetApp. Pro is limited to one pipeline, 15 custom fields and one mailbox, and usage-based features such as multiposting and enrichment draw on credits. MCP and the open API start at Business ($135). Its self-serve full export includes attachments, but data is hosted in the US and kept only 14 days after termination. See our Recruit CRM pricing guide.

Recruiterflow if outbound outreach drives your business

Recruiterflow's Platform plan costs $119 per user per month annually or $149 monthly and includes multichannel sequences across email, LinkedIn and SMS, recruitment and sales automation, a bulk sourcing Chrome extension and API access, with no add-ons. Its AI tier, AIRA, is priced on request; Recruiterflow's blog puts it at $150 to $300. Its official MCP connector for Claude and ChatGPT is read-only, and mobile access is a progressive web app.

Zoho Recruit if you want structure at a low price

Zoho Recruit's Staffing Agency edition starts at $25 per recruiter per month annually or $30 monthly, with 100 active jobs on Standard, no forced contracts and a 45-day money-back guarantee. It posts to more than 75 job boards, has native mobile apps, offers data centres in several regions including the EU, and has an official MCP server that reads and writes at no extra cost. Semantic search and most AI features start at Professional ($50), and onboarding help is a paid Jumpstart package from $1,000.

Manatal if cost is the main issue

Manatal's Professional plan costs $15 per user per month annually or $19 monthly, with AI recommendations and scoring, a sourcing Chrome extension, enrichment and job board posting on every plan, and unlimited free hiring managers. Professional is capped at 15 jobs and 10,000 candidates, so many agencies need Enterprise at $35. MCP, the API and SSO sit on Enterprise Plus at $55. Manatal holds SOC 2 Type II, stores data in the US and offers a progressive web app rather than native apps.

Bullhorn if you are scaling a staffing business

Bullhorn publishes Starter at $99 and Core at $165 per user per month, with free implementation on its small-agency plans, a 300-plus partner marketplace from Core and SOC 2 Type 2 audits. It covers temp and contract back-office needs, and its AI search and Amplify agents start at Pro, by quote. See our Bullhorn pricing guide.

Crumblelead if your agency mainly runs perm desks

Our plan costs $30 per user per month, or $25 billed annually, with no seat minimum, no add-ons and cancellation without a fee. AI matching with evidence, semantic search, Crumble AI and a built-in MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT that can make supported changes are on every seat from one user. Migration from Crelate is free on any paid plan and typically takes about a week.

We are not the right alternative if you need client portals, US compliance reporting such as EEO and OFCCP, sequences, or a vendor with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 today. Crelate offers those.

When staying with Crelate is the right call

Stay when you use Crelate's client portals, custom workflows and US compliance reporting, or sell to clients who ask for SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 evidence. Its bundled AI, including the Discover sourcing agent on every plan, and one of the strongest self-serve exports in the market are real strengths.

How do you leave Crelate cleanly?

Crelate makes leaving straightforward. From Settings, export all records and experiences, optionally with every attachment, as a password-protected ZIP that stays available for 45 days. Business allows a full export every 30 days and Enterprise every 15. We could not confirm the export rules after cancellation, so run the export while your subscription is active.
