Recruit CRM Alternatives for Small Recruitment Agencies

By The Crumblelead Team·Published October 15, 2026·Last updated October 15, 2026

Small agencies considering Recruit CRM alternatives should compare Manatal, Zoho Recruit, Loxo, Bullhorn, JobAdder and Crumblelead against the Recruit CRM plan they actually need. Switching makes sense when a replacement fits your desk at a lower or more predictable cost; staying is sensible when its timesheets, invoicing, outreach tools and support are central to how you work.

Recruit CRM is one of the best-rated agency systems available, at 4.9 out of 5 on GetApp from 478 reviews, so looking elsewhere is rarely about quality. More often the trigger is fit: Pro's limits pushing a team towards Business, credit-metered features, or a need for EU-hosted data. Our Crumblelead vs Recruit CRM comparison covers the head-to-head.

Why do small agencies look at Recruit CRM alternatives?

Plan limits are the most common reason. Pro, at $95 per user per month annually or $109 monthly, allows one hiring pipeline, 15 custom fields, one mailbox and one sequence. Reviewers say those limits push many teams to Business, at $135 or $159, which is also where MCP, the open API and SSO start.

Credits are the second. AI sourcing, enrichment, automation, multiposting and messaging draw on a pooled credit allowance, with top-ups at $0.125 each, so costs rise with usage. Data is hosted in the US with no EU option found, and annual subscriptions renew for the same term with non-refundable charges. Reviewers also mention occasional bugs and email sync quirks, alongside consistent praise for support.

What does Recruit CRM cost now?

Pro costs $109 per user per month on monthly billing or $95 annually; Business $159 or $135; Enterprise $259 or $215. Each includes credits: 100, 200 or 2,000 per user per month. Our Recruit CRM pricing guide covers credits, contract terms and a five-person example.

Six alternatives and the trade-offs

Prices checked 15 October 2026, per user per month; annual figures are monthly equivalents and exclude tax. This is a shortlist by use case, not a ranking.

Manatal if you want AI without credit metering

Manatal's Professional plan costs $15 per user per month annually or $19 monthly. AI recommendations and scoring, a sourcing Chrome extension, enrichment and job board posting are on every plan without credits. Professional is capped at 15 jobs and 10,000 candidates, and MCP needs Enterprise Plus at $55. Its data is also hosted in the US.

Zoho Recruit if you need EU hosting

Zoho Recruit's Staffing Agency edition starts at $25 per recruiter per month annually, with data centres in many regions including the EU, no forced contracts and a 45-day money-back guarantee. Its official MCP server reads and writes at no extra cost. Many extras are metered add-ons, so check the plan comparison.

Loxo if sourcing data is your priority

Loxo Core starts at $149 per user per month, annual and paid up front, and Professional at about $199 adds an 850-million-profile graph with contact details and AI agents. Its pages disagree on which plan includes MCP. See our Loxo pricing guide.

Bullhorn if you are scaling a staffing business

Bullhorn publishes Starter at $99 and Core at $165, with free implementation on its small-agency plans, a 300-plus partner marketplace and SOC 2 Type 2 audits. See our Bullhorn pricing guide.

JobAdder if SEEK and job boards drive your business

JobAdder is strongest in Australia and New Zealand, with a native SEEK integration and multiposting to more than 200 job boards. It does not publish prices. See our JobAdder pricing guide for estimates.

Crumblelead if your agency mainly runs perm desks

Our plan costs $30 per user per month, or $25 billed annually, with no credits, no seat minimum and cancellation without a fee. AI matching with evidence, Crumble AI and a built-in MCP server for Claude and ChatGPT are on every seat from one user. Migration from Recruit CRM is free on any paid plan and typically takes about a week.

We are not the right alternative if you need timesheets, invoicing, job board posting or multichannel sequences. We do not offer those, and we do not have SOC 2 yet.

When staying with Recruit CRM is the right call

Stay when you place contractors and use its timesheets and invoicing, or rely on its sequences, WhatsApp and LinkedIn messaging. Its support and named account managers are a real strength. If Pro's limits are the issue, compare Business's cost with the disruption of a move.

How do you leave Recruit CRM cleanly?

The account owner can run a Full Export, including every attachment, once every 90 days, as long as payment is up to date. Recruit CRM keeps data for only 14 days after termination, so run the export before you cancel and check that resumes and notes arrived. Read how to switch ATS without losing data.

Where Crumblelead fits

We built Crumblelead for perm-focused independent and small-to-mid agencies that want one fast workspace for the whole desk, with AI taking administration off recruiters while they keep the relationships and judgement. Browse all our comparisons for other options.
